What it is
Mercury appears to move backwards about three times a year. Symbolically, it is linked with communication, travel and technology, so a retrograde is treated as a time to review, double-check and reconnect rather than rush.
Dates
Mercury appears to move backwards from Thursday, 26 February 2026 until Saturday, 21 March 2026.
Retrograde motion is an apparent effect: as Earth overtakes a planet (or a planet overtakes Earth), it seems to move backwards against the stars. Astrological meanings are traditional and symbolic, not scientific predictions.
