What it is

Purnima is the fifteenth tithi of the bright fortnight, when the Moon is full. Each month’s Purnima has its own festivals.

Traditional significance

Many families perform Satyanarayan Puja, fast, or take a holy dip. It is a natural time for gratitude and for completing what has been begun.

A suggested practice

Full-moon gratitude · about 5 minutes

  1. Look at the Moon, or picture it.
  2. Name three things you are grateful for this month.
  3. Name one thing you would like to release.

Affirmation

I am grateful for how far I have come.

Reflection question

What has come to fullness in my life this month?
